Curriculum Sascha Hardegger

Sascha HardeggerSascha Hardegger was born on 2 January 1976. He studied political science, constitutional law and media science at the University of Zurich and pursued various part-time and full-time journalistic activities.

In 2004 and 2005, he was involved in operations abroad for the Swiss Army as Public Information Officer for Swisscoy in Kosovo and as Commander of the first Swiss Liaison and Observation Team (LOT) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Subsequently, he continued his military service as Training Officer at the Swiss Armed Forces International Command (SWISSINT) in Stans.

From 2005, Sascha Hardegger was first Media Spokesman and then deputy Head of Information at the Federal Department of Justice and Police (FDJP). In 2009, he joined Rega, where as Head of Communication he was responsible for information, public relations and Rega patronage. Since 1 January 2016, Sascha Hardegger has been in charge of Rega’s Helicopter Operations division and is a member of the Extended Management Board.

He has enjoyed close ties with aviation since his early youth and is a qualified powered aircraft, glider and paraglider pilot. He has one son and lives with his family in the close vicinity of Zurich Airport.
